PupCare
Brief:
During the pandemic, many families thought it was the right time to adopt a pet. Unfortunately, not everyone is an expert at taking care of their animals.
Challenge:
Design an application that will help pet owners understand and monitor the health of their cats or dogs. Take into account their vaccine and vet visits, food, exercise & socializing, and training.
Research:
To understand the pain points of COVID dog owners, we created a survey for both current dog owners and new dog owners.

User Needs Statements
The PupCare application is designed for new and existing owners who are looking to improve and maintain the health of their newly adopted puppies. PupCare will enable puppy owners to manage numerous activities involved in taking care of a puppy. By ensuring constant reminders at the appropriate times for activities such as vaccinations and exercises, PupCare supports the puppy’s growth in its entirety. Unlike other applications, which only focus on specific aspects of a pet’s health such as vet-related applications and dog sitting applications, PupCare covers a multitude of health-related functions from a walking schedule to playdates to vet appointments. Therefore, the application will ensure its users can access a variety of essential services and provide guidance on how to handle their puppies. The applications will also cater towards users who would like to train their pets to develop special skills such as toilet training for example. This feature will involve day-to-day guidance on the course of actions the pet owner can take to train the pet effectively and efficiently.

We analyzed PupCare's job to be done from the survey and pain points.
This was our low fidelity wireframe which emphasizes the importance of the Vet Hub. It is a place where users can add a new vet, provide outside resources, and display past appointments.
We created a couple of personas and their respective journey map that reflected on our survey.
